Wholesale Sterling Silver Bracelets: A Practical Stocking Guide
Which bracelet styles to stock, what plating thickness holds up on a wrist, and how to build a first order of wholesale sterling silver bracelets.
Why bracelets deserve their own buying plan
Bracelets sit between earrings and rings in difficulty. Customers rarely need a size with the right style, but a bracelet takes more daily wear than a pair of studs, and that affects both the finish you choose and the way you sell it. This guide is for boutique and online store owners who want to stock wholesale sterling silver bracelets without guessing: which styles suit which customer, how to pick plating, how to build a first order and how to present the range.
Everything below is based on how we make and sell at Ruvolla, a 925 sterling silver supplier with its own workshop in Fatih, Istanbul. Our bracelet range runs to 294 models, and every piece is stamped 925.
Bracelet styles and who buys them
Charm bracelets
Charm bracelets are the gift purchase. Shoppers buy them for birthdays and milestones, and they often come back for more charms. Browse the charm bracelets to see the range. They suit customers who like a piece that looks personal, and they work well in a shop that already sells charms or pendants.
Adjustable and slider bracelets
Adjustable slider bracelets are the easiest bracelets to stock because the fit question mostly disappears. One model suits a wide range of wrist sizes, so you need fewer variations and fewer "do you have it in a smaller size?" conversations. They are also a natural fit for online shops, where returns for sizing are a real cost. See the adjustable bracelets for the full selection.
Tennis bracelets
A tennis bracelet is a continuous line of small stones, usually cubic zirconia in our range. It's the dressier option: customers buy it for weddings, evenings out or as a gift. Look at the tennis bracelets and note the width and clasp on each model, because those details decide how the piece sits on the wrist. For more on how stones are set and how to describe them, see our guide to wholesale cubic zirconia jewelry.
Chain bracelets
Plain chain bracelets are the stacking base. They are low-risk, easy to photograph and pair with almost anything. They also suit male and female customers alike, which matters if your shop sells to both.
Stone-set and cluster bracelets
Stone-set bracelets add color or sparkle without the full tennis look. They sell to customers who want something noticeable but not formal. Color stones give you a way to refresh a display each season while the underlying silver stays the same.
Evil eye bracelets
Evil eye is one of the steadiest motifs in our catalog. A small evil eye on a chain or slider is an easy add-on at the till. Our evil eye jewelry collection covers bracelets alongside other categories.
Choosing plating and micron for bracelets
All our bracelets start as 925 sterling silver. Plating is added in our own workshop: 14K gold, rhodium or rose gold, with gold plating available in thicknesses from 0.10 to 4 micron. Plating is priced per gram, so a thicker layer or a heavier bracelet changes the cost.
A bracelet rubs against clothes, desks, bags and the wearer's other jewelry all day. Wrists move constantly. For that reason, our recommendation for bracelets is 1.00 micron and above, especially for gold or rose gold plating on pieces customers will wear daily. Thinner options such as 0.10 to 0.25 micron suit occasional-wear pieces or lower price points, as long as you're clear with customers about what to expect.
Leaving a style unplated is also an option for many models, and it keeps the cost down. If you want a deeper explanation of what each thickness means, read our gold plating micron guide.
Length and adjustability
Fit is the most common reason a bracelet doesn't sell. Some practical points:
- Slider and adjustable models remove most of the sizing question. Put them at the front of your range.
- For fixed-length chain and tennis bracelets, check the length on each product page and show it in your own listings, in both centimeters and inches.
- Add the length to your product descriptions even for adjustable models, so customers know the range of fit.
- If you stock fixed-length bracelets, keep the most common lengths and avoid doubling up on every variation.
Stacks and layering
Layering is where bracelets earn their place in a basket. A customer who comes in for one bracelet will often leave with two or three if you show how they work together.
- Build a "stack" from a chain bracelet, a slider and a stone-set piece, and display them on a single wrist form.
- Sell stack pairs: a plain chain with a charm bracelet, or a slider with a tennis bracelet.
- Mix finishes carefully. A silver and gold plated bracelet together looks intentional when the shapes are similar.
- Offer a simple discount on two or three pieces in your own pricing, rather than discounting a single bracelet.
A sample first order
Our minimum order is 5 pieces per model, and you can mix models and plating finishes freely. The first order minimum is $500. A bracelet mix of 10 models at 5 pieces each is 50 bracelets, with prices starting at roughly $7 for a bracelet depending on the model. Exact prices are shown to approved trade accounts.
One way to split 10 models:
- 3 adjustable or slider bracelets, your easy sellers
- 2 chain bracelets, your stacking base
- 2 charm bracelets, for gifts
- 1 tennis bracelet, your dressier piece
- 1 stone-set bracelet, for color
- 1 evil eye bracelet, a steady motif
Then choose plating. You could take some models in rhodium for a bright white finish, some with 14K gold plating at 1.00 micron or above, and one or two in rose gold, since finishes can be mixed within the order. Volume discounts apply as your order grows: 3% above $1,000, 6% above $2,000 and 9% above $3,500. For more on building a first order, see our first wholesale silver order guide.
Orders are made to order. After payment is confirmed, we ship within about a week, whatever the quantity.
Photographing and displaying bracelets
Bracelets are hard to photograph because they lie flat or disappear on a wrist. A few habits help:
- Photograph the piece on a wrist or a wrist form, and also flat on a plain background.
- Show a close-up of the clasp and any stones.
- Use the same lighting for every bracelet in a stack so they look like a set.
- In store, use a bracelet bar or tray for fixed models and hang slider bracelets on a stand so they can be touched.
- Group by style rather than price so customers can see how a stack is put together.
How to start
If you're new to wholesale, begin with a mix of adjustable, chain and one tennis style, then add based on what sells. You can request a sample on request: samples are made in a different metal and show the design, size and finish, not the silver itself, and shipping is paid by the buyer. Prices are visible to approved trade accounts, so the first step is to apply for a trade account. You can also browse the full bracelets collection before you apply.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for wholesale sterling silver bracelets?
The minimum is 5 pieces per model, and you can mix models and plating finishes in one order. The first order must be at least $500.
Which bracelet styles are easiest for a new shop to sell?
Adjustable slider bracelets are the easiest because they fit a wide range of wrists, so you avoid sizing questions. Plain chain bracelets and evil eye bracelets are low-risk additions, and a tennis bracelet gives you a dressier option.
What plating thickness do you recommend for bracelets?
For bracelets worn daily, we recommend 1.00 micron or above. Bracelets rub against clothes and surfaces more than most jewelry, so a thicker layer suits them better. Thinner plating from 0.10 micron is available for lighter-wear pieces.
How many bracelet models are in your catalog?
Our bracelet range has 294 models, including charm, adjustable slider, tennis, chain, cluster and stone-set styles. Every piece is stamped 925.
How long does a bracelet order take?
Orders are made to order. After payment is confirmed, they ship within about a week, regardless of quantity.
