Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Ruvolla collects from business customers and website visitors, why we hold it, and what rights you have. It applies to ruvolla.com and to our wholesale correspondence.
- Who is responsible for your data
Ruvolla is the trade name of Zeynep Marap, a sole trader registered in Türkiye. Registered address: Dizdariye Medresesi Sok. No: 3/2, Gürsel İş Hanı, Binbirdirek Mah., 34096 Fatih / İstanbul, Türkiye. Tax number TR7300266046. For any question about this policy or about your data, write to help@ruvolla.com.
- What we collect
Trade account applications: your name, business name, email address, telephone number, country and city, website or social media handle, business type, number of stores, tax registration details where required for invoicing, and anything you write in the message field.
Orders: billing and delivery addresses, order contents, and payment references. We never see or store full card numbers; card payments are handled by the payment provider.
Correspondence: the emails, WhatsApp messages and forms you send us.
Website use: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and the source that brought you to the site. Where this relies on non-essential cookies, we collect it only if you accept them.
- Why we use it and on what legal basis
To assess your trade application, agree terms, produce your order and ship it — this is necessary to enter into and perform a contract with you.
To send invoices and keep accounting records — a legal obligation under Turkish tax law.
To contact businesses that we believe may want to stock our jewellery, including by email — our legitimate interest in marketing to trade buyers. We only approach businesses, never private individuals, and every message tells you how to stop receiving them.
To send campaign emails and to measure advertising — with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
To keep the website secure and working — our legitimate interest in running the service.
- Where we approach you first
If we contacted you before you contacted us, we obtained your business contact details from publicly available sources such as your own website, a public business directory or a trade platform. You can ask us at any time where we found your details, ask us to correct them, or ask us to stop and delete them. One reply saying so is enough; we do not require a form.
- Who else sees your data
Shipping companies (DHL, UPS, FedEx, TNT, Aramex) to deliver your order and clear customs. Payment providers and our bank to take payment. Our hosting and database providers, who store the site and its records. Our accountant, for invoicing and tax records. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
- International transfer
Ruvolla operates from Türkiye. Türkiye is not currently covered by a European Commission adequacy decision, which means that when data reaches us it leaves the EEA and UK protection framework. Where we hold data about people in the EEA or the UK, the transfer takes place because it is necessary to perform or prepare a contract with you, or with your consent. Our hosting and database providers may also store data in other countries. If you would like more detail on the safeguards that apply, write to help@ruvolla.com.
- How long we keep it
Trade applications that are not approved: up to 12 months, then deleted. Approved trade accounts: for as long as the account is active and for 10 years afterwards, because Turkish law requires commercial and tax records to be kept for that period. Marketing contact details: until you ask us to stop. Website analytics: up to 14 months.
- Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop a particular use, object to marketing, or ask for your data in a portable format. Write to help@ruvolla.com; we answer within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK you may also complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in Türkiye you may apply to the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu (KVKK).
- Cookies
The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, for example to keep you signed in to your trade account. Other cookies — which help us understand how the site is used and how our advertising performs — are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
- Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date below. The version published here is the one in force.
