Every Ruvolla order is made to order and shipped from our workshop in Fatih, Istanbul, by DHL Express, UPS, FedEx, TNT or Aramex. This page covers how shipping terms work, what happens at customs, and how orders are packed for transit.

Made to order, shipped within about a week

Nothing ships from finished stock: every order is made after payment is confirmed. Whatever the quantity, your order is produced and handed to the courier within about a week, and we share the tracking details by then. Your proforma invoice confirms the order and payment terms before production starts, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

EXW or DAP: what each means for you

Orders ship under one of two incoterms:

• EXW Istanbul (Ex Works). You or your freight forwarder arrange collection from our workshop in Fatih, Istanbul, and handle transport from there. This gives you full control over your shipping cost and choice of courier.
• DAP (Delivered at Place). We arrange freight to your delivery address. You still handle import clearance, duties, and VAT at your end — DAP covers getting the shipment to you, not through your country's customs charges.

Neither term includes import duties or VAT in the destination country — under both, you're the importer of record.

Courier and transit time

International orders ship by DHL Express, UPS, FedEx, TNT or Aramex, with typical international transit of 3–7 business days to Europe once the order leaves Istanbul. This is transit time only, on top of about a week of production — the two run separately, not concurrently. Both couriers provide tracking, which is shared once your order is handed over for shipping.

Import duties and VAT

As the importer of record, you're responsible for import duties and VAT in your own country on arrival. The rate depends on the product's tariff (HS) code and your destination country, so we can't quote a flat percentage here — your customs broker, or the brokerage service offered by DHL Express, UPS, FedEx, TNT or Aramex, can confirm the exact figure for your shipment before or on arrival. Building this cost into your landed cost calculation up front avoids surprises when the shipment clears customs.

How orders are packed

Once an order passes quality check, pieces are packed individually and protected for transit before being consolidated into the shipment handed to the courier. This protects plated finishes and stone settings from contact damage during transport, on top of whatever inner packaging you plan to add for your own retail display.

Frequently asked questions

How long does shipping take from Turkey?

International transit typically takes 3–7 business days to Europe by DHL Express, UPS, FedEx, TNT or Aramex, once your order has finished production. Production takes about a week and is counted separately.

Do I pay import duty on jewelry shipped from Turkey?

Yes. Under both EXW and DAP, you're the importer of record and pay import duties and VAT in your own country. The rate depends on the product's tariff code and destination — a customs broker or your courier can confirm the exact figure for your shipment.

What's the difference between EXW and DAP shipping?

EXW means you arrange and pay for freight from our Istanbul location yourself; DAP means we arrange freight to your address. Either way, import duties and VAT at destination are your responsibility as the importer of record.
